When using a stereo with sub system you may need to use the 5:1 option and select subwoofer in the optional box to get the best out of the sub / speakers. With the option I use I can have one setup for my 5:1 speakers and another for my headphones,īut with this option you have to plug the headphones in before launching a game or they will not work.ītw - if you have not already. This may make a difference in how the headset works in relation to the speakers as well,Īs using the 'mute the rear.' option groups the two together, cutting out the 2nd output option. In the Device Advanced Settings option I use 'Make front and back. There will be two options, one for your speaker setup and one for your headphones (2nd output),īut only when the headphones are plugged in. The same is true with the Realtek HD Audio Manager. If your USB headset has it's own amp there may be a difference ( have not use USB type). Using a Motherboard with Realtek integrated sound. Only the speakers will be ticked, but when you plug the headphones in it will (should) automatically switch to Realtek HD Audi 2nd input ( headphones icon), assuming you are When you open Sound in Control Panel without having the headphones plugged in

Hrmm, well my laptop is also running Windows 7 64-bit, and both machines are using the exact same 64-bit drivers from Logitech's website.I'm using the front panel audio out for my headphones, so there may be a difference with I am not sure what other information I can give. If anybody can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. For the hell of it, I did it again.just in case I needed to do things in a different order or something like that. I called Logitech Support and the fella basically told me to do everything I already did. It does not show up in Sound Settings at all. You can tell it pairs with the receiver as both lights go solid, but Windows does not even detect it. Of course powering up the headset does nothing.

Installed the software again, and during the installation (like many driver installations), Windows detected the receiver again yet still gave an error saying that it could not be found. So in Device Manager I uninstalled the driver (even though it said it could not find a driver?). After plugging the headset receiver back in, I got the same error. I tried uninstalling the software completely.

I was curious if somehow something got damaged on the trip home, so I plugged the receiver in my laptop and it worked fine.Īfter this, I figured I would try putting the receiver in a different port, not the one that is on the USB power cord. I opened up the Logitech Gaming Software and turned my headset power on. It said it was installing drivers for it (which it shouldn't, as I already had the Logitech drivers on there), but then it gave me an error saying the driver could not be found for the device. When I got back home, I plugged the USB power cord (which also has a USB port in it, which I usually use to put the receiver in), and Windows made the sound it makes when it couldn't detect a device.

I installed the driver, and it worked fine. I went on vacation a few days ago, and I took my headset along with my laptop so I can make a few Skype calls while I was there. I have been using it for ages on my desktop with Windows 7 64-bit with no issues. Ive Googled around a little bit and the term 'Logitech G930 sound dropping' shows there are some people with similar problems, but Ive yet to see a solution other than return to Logitech, get new ones. I have a Logitech G930 Headset (it is wireless with a USB receiver). OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit Any ideas Anyone have the same headset, or experienced similar problems.
